Guest Post By Bentley of "Bentley's Preemie Blessing"
Hi! My name is Bentley! I'm a shih-tzu poodle. I'm one of the characters in "Bentley's Preemie Blessings." Michelle occasionally mentions me in blog posts and tweets, but I wanted to send out a personal "Woof" and tell you about myself.
Michelle adopted me from the Animal Relief Fund (ARF) in Hollywood, Maryland, about four and a half years ago. She had talked about getting a dog for a long time -- and finally took the plunge when she found me online. She says it was love at first sight.
I'm a Mama's boy. Michelle tells people that I'm like Velcro because I follow her everywhere.
When Michelle worked on Capitol Hill, I sometimes had the opportunity to accompany her. Walking through the halls of the prestigious Russell Senate Office Building was a big deal for a little dog like me.
I love going on walks, playing ball, and eating peanut butter. I also love to have my belly scratched.
My best friend is my little sister, Emily. She can't throw a ball very far, but she tries hard to entertain me. She also gives me leftover and unwanted food.
I didn't meet Emily immediately after she was born. I had to wait 67 days to meet her. You can read about her stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and journey home to meet me. Just buy a copy of "Bentley's Preemie Blessing " or better yet, enter to win a FREE autographed copy! Maybe the autograph will even include my paw print, just for you!
